Lotus

I was asked to contribute some art to the Halo Foundation  for their annual gala several years ago, so I researched what they do and created this to donate to their fundraiser, along with a 48″x24″ painting i made from start to finish during the gala then auctioned away. I did several pieces of artwork for this including an acrylic portrait of the boy on masonite, then a second painting of his body with the face printed on another piece of masonite. The elephant and background is several rounds of photoshopping, printing, painting, scanning, rinse repeat. I ultimately put it together as a finished composition in photoshop, then printed on a 48″ x 96″ primed masonite panel. Then painted on that for the finished background panel. Last, I created a vector and 3d mesh of the boy holding the paintbrush, and cnc carved him from HDU foam and printed on that then accentuated with paint and adhered him in place on the backing panel. I’ve done several one off scaled down versions, so hit me up with interest in that route.
