Disbelief

$50.00

I was in college in 2001. I was sick on the morning of September 11th and I had to walk an essay to class in the morning. It was early and campus was quiet. I walked back to my apartment and called in to work to let them know i was sick, and they said, “is it because the worlds ending?” I turned on the tv a few minutes before the second plane hit the trade towers. Like everyone, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was in shock. I had a 4 foot piece of masonite primed in my living room, and I just started painting, watching the news, trying to wrap my head around what was going on. Why? Who? What the fuck? I pecked away painting this over the next few days, glued to the tv, watching updates, and kind of just capturing what i felt thousands of miles away in Kansas.
